SIERRA ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES FOUNDATION
"Reasoned thinking should be based on good analysis not constrained
by ideology."
The purpose: Sierra Environmental Studies Foundation was
created to bring reason and clarity to the issues facing Nevada County
so government leaders can craft effective solutions based upon reliable
information, verifiable data, and non-partisan analysis.
The goals: To translate fact-based research and public data into actionable
information through detailed analysis, presentations and publications.
To become a community resource for vital public issue debates.
The work: An informed electorate understands how government
decisions affect our daily lives personally, economically, and as a
cohesive society. Within its resources SESF will collect the data and
do the research required to produce timely information products on
specific issues. This output will be disseminated to county governments,
interested organizations, and the media to foster a balanced awareness
in the shaping of public policy.
